On the 6
th of October it was roman day I was very excited! I entered the hall. We found
out about roman knickers and bras, I found that very disturbing, then we found out about men’s
pants we found out that they looked like a giant nappy I found that even more disturbing! After
that we saw how they dressed in a toga! We then learnt about Empresses and Emperors like Caesar. We
also learnt about their make up. We also learnt about an Emperor named Claudius. So that was the
morning done!
After break we found out that Claudius was mean. We discovered about their ear cleaners,
nail cleaners, hair pickers for your nose and nose pickers. Grace and Satchin got married.
Once we had come back from lunch we were told about gladiators and how the women gladiators only
had a helmet on and that they were naked. We were then enlisted into the Roman army learnt how
to do the tortoise formation with our shields and were told some of the commands the soldiers would
use. That was the end, I was sad it had to end but it did.

On Roman day we were told how to march, it was really easy it was fun too. My favourite bit
was when Marcus told us what was actually in different kinds of liquids. I only liked the
disgusting ones because they are really funny like hair gel which had cow wee in it. We also
learned how to play roman games which was really hard to get right but some people did I was amazed
when they did do it. They were called knuckle bones and a spinning top. We learned how to
fight properly, it was quite easy, all you had to do was jab the opponents and get back quickly
like when you are doing the sport called fencing. Everybody was shocked when we heard that ladies
could not wear dark purple and they would be stoned to death. I had great fun.
