Arrangements for Y7 Induction

9.00     Pupils assemble in Beardwood Theatre for welcome (JCG, RFR)

9.05     Depart to form groups (student planners, timetables, routines, expectations, room numbers etc) (9.30 to 10.30 photographer to take pictures of Year 7 students)

10.00   First day walk through with mentors

10.30   Music Recital Hall for Music Presentation

11.00   Depart

Arrangements for Y10 Induction

9.30     Y10 Beardwood Theatre

Talks CWM, CJB, PCC, AJP, DS, Judy Cardnell

10.30   Y10 to form tutors – setting expectations, routines, timetable etc Photographer to take pictures of individuals from 10.30 to 11.30.

11.30   Depart

Year 12 – All Year 12 students. New students 9.30am-1pm, Colfeians 10.15am-1pm

09.30   New entrants arrive. Meet SD, NLR, RPT, buddies and relevant form tutors (Music Recital Hall). Form tutors and buddies chat to new arrivals. Tour of School with year 13 ‘buddies’ (many will be with Year 7 as mentors).

10.20   All of Year 12 assemble in Main Hall for a talk (SD)

10.40   Break – Common Room (students check tutor groups and rooms)

11.00   NLR/RPT to speak to Year 12 in the Beardwood.   

11.30   All Year 12 students to go to tutors to check timetables, receive planners.

12.00   Overview of the UCAS process from JAC

• 12.20      Lunch in the main hall divided up by tutor group with senior prefects, school captains, tutors, SD, NLR, RPT.  During this time students will be asked to leave in tutor groups to get their photos taken.
• 13.0          Depart

From 13.00 onwards NLR, RPT, SD, JGK and Heads of Department will be available to discuss changes to AS level choices with students.  All AS changes must be signed off by the new Head of Department, Mr King (to check set sizes remain manageable) and NLR,RPT or SD. 

Year 13 – Mentors and prefects only.

09.00   (to 9.50am) – Year 7 Mentor training with Kathryn Kashiff – Room 107

9.15     (to 9.50am) NLR to take mentors, lead mentors to stay with Kathryn.

10.00   Year 7 mentors to Year 7 forms

10.45   Break

11.30   (to 1pm) Year 8 Mentors – mentor training with Kathryn Kashiff – Room 107.  JVG and NLR may be involved in this session to make clear expectations.

12.00   Senior prefects, school captains with SD

12.20   Tea and cakes with Year 12 students for Senior Prefects, School Captains and buddies

13.00   Depart

12pm Work in Departments (until 3.35pm)
